Duties and Responsibilities: 
A Mental Health Counselor works with individuals,groups and communities to improve mantal health. Another part of their job is to encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences, work with families, examine issues including substance abuse aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress and suicide. They also help clients define goals, plan action, gain insight and develop therapeutic processes by refering clients to psychologists and other services.

Education: 
Earning an undergraduate degree in counseling, psychology, sociology or social work is the first step in becoming a mental health counselor. Later then a you must pursue your master's in mental healh counseling. Most states require that mental health counselors comlpete two years of popst-graduate supervised worf, totaling between 2,000 and 4,000 hours of clinical experience. In addition, counselors must pass a state-recognized exam and complete annual continuing education courses.

Demand for this profession: 
The field of Mental Health Counseling is one of the few fields in the nation that is predicted to grow at almost 3 times the rate of other forms of employment.

Reflection: No i do not think i would like to become a Mental Health Counselor. The reason why is because i dont feel like this would be the correct job for me. Being a Mental Health Counselor is not something i see myself doing in the future or somethuing i belive id be interested in being. I am interested in a different type of career and a mental health counselor is not what im looking foward to although it is a great career for anyone who is into these type of careers.
