Making the right decisions is important, only for the fact that, that determines what your whole life will depend on. A person who constantly makes bad decisions and has no plans ahead of himself/herself will end up in a place that not so many people will enjoy being at. Your life depends on the decisions you make, because if you take the right decisions then success will come into your life, followed by many other good things that will benefit you throughout it. If you take the wrong choices, you will not get where you want to be and the only thing that will come into your life is failure. I believe everyone is capable of achieveing what they want, but they just need to work hard enough to reach that goal.
