World Records

World Record

  1. A referance book published annually, listing world records and national records, both of human achievements and the extreems of the natural world.
  2. World Record Holder: Arthur Guinness
  3. Was set in 1955

Susannah Mushatt Jones, the Guinness Book of World Records holdr for the oldest living human being, has officially passed that distinction on to someone else. Multiple outlets have announced that she passed away on Thursday, May 12. She was 116 years old. Robert Young, a consultant at Jones's public housing facility in Brooklyn, confirmed this sad news to The Associated Press. She was born in 1899, four years before the Wright brothers took their first flight in 1903. "Ms. Jones was the very last American from the 1800's," said Young, who said jones had been ill for about the past 10 days. According to the newspaper, she had a sign in her kitchen that read "Bacon makes everything better." This woman was a genius. "I surround myself with love and positive energy," Jones also told the New York City Housing Authority in 2005."That's the key to long life and happiness."

I am facinated about this world record because some people put themselves down because they are aging when in reality they should thank god that they've come this far in life. They should appreciate their wrinkles and scars because those are symbols of everything you went through in life. Lamenting yourself isn't going to get you nowhere so might aswell live your life to the fullest now that you still have the opportunity to be in this world. Eating well is a major key in your everyday life, so keep yourself healthy for the good of your benefits. You don't want to be elderly and just be stuck in bed with pain. If you treat yourself right now, then you could live your last days to the fullest and the happiest you've ever been. It is possible to live a long life but it just depends on the person, on how they decide they want to live it. You dont know how to appreciate the things you have until you see the end approaching closer and closer to you.

No, i wouldn't want to break a world record, because that isnt something that interests me. Breaking a work record isnt going to help me throughout life. Although it seems like a pretty cool thing to do, i still would not want to.
